A three-year undergraduate course (a High School degree) in Image and Audiovisual Media finished in 1993 at the Escola Secundária Artística António Arroio (António Arroio Arts School, Lisbon).
A three-year undergraduate course (a Bachelor’s degree) in Cinema finished in 1998 at the Escola Superior de Teatro e Cinema, Instituto Politécnico de Lisboa (Superior School of Theatre and Cinema, Lisbon Polytechnic Institute). The last two years of the course were devoted to Image, where the applicant received training in Cinematography and Camera Assistance (focus puller and clapper loader).
In 2005, the applicant attended a workshop in “High Definition Technique” promoted by the Portuguese Image Association and given by Rafa Roche, an expert in HD training.
